With the aim of providing students with a well-deserved break, the GES has determined that the mid-semester break will commence on June 2 and conclude on June 9, 2023.
During this period, students are encouraged to take time off from their academic commitments and engage in activities that promote rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
It serves as an opportunity for students to recharge their energy, reflect on their academic progress, and prepare themselves for the second half of the semester.
However, recognizing the significance of the impending West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), the GES has granted schools the permission to retain form 3 students on campus during the mid-semester break.
This arrangement allows these students to utilize the break effectively by dedicating their time and efforts towards intensive preparation for the upcoming examination. By staying at school, they can benefit from additional support, guidance, and resources provided by their teachers and mentors.
Furthermore, the GES has emphasized the importance of ensuring that all other students who desire to stay at school during the mid-semester break are adequately accommodated.
School administrators are entrusted with the responsibility of making suitable arrangements and provisions to cater to the needs and comfort of these students.
