According to ESPN’S Windhorst, the lakers and the pistons where engage in a serious trade talk about the former MVP but the pistons refused the trade as they believe Rose is an important part of their future moving forward and have no intention of buying him out of his contract, as to what the lakers offered, it is still unknown.
“No, there’s no chance,” Windhorst said, as transcribed by RealGM.
“He’s under contract for next year at a good number. Dwane Casey likes him. We think he’s going to be important for us next year.’ He just wasn’t available.”
